EXPO 2016 Exhibits

EXPO 2016 will feature sixty frames of exhibits for your viewing. There will also be 1-page and 4-page mini-exhibits. Exhibitors vie for numerous awards, and the awards will be presented Friday evening at our Awards Banquet. Three judges, certified by the American Philatelic Society, will evaluate the exhibits. In addition, EXPO attendees will be given a ballot which allows them to vote for the Texas Stamp Dealers Association's Most Popular Exhibit award. The winner will be announced Saturday around 2 pm. Be sure to mark your ballot and drop it in the box near the Registration table.

As of July 18, our exhibit chairperson, Ray Cartier, advises that more exhibits are needed, whether simple one-page, one-frame, or multi-frame. Please advise Ray if you are planning to submit any kind of exhibit for the 2016 MCSC EXPO. Currently, only 4 of our 106 members are participating in this aspect of EXPO. It would be nice to see some others taking an interest in supporting their club this way. Many once popular shows are no longer being held because of a lack of interest among the members. Help keep EXPO alive and sample one of the best ways to make your collecting more fun, and more interesting, as you begin to study what you collect more closely.

Silent Auction News

Our Silent Auction will be held on the Convention Hall stage. This year we will again feature a Buy it Now option. If you see an item you want you can have it for the Buy It Now price and take possession immediately. Many items go for bargain prices so be sure to stop by and put in your bids. Auction winners can pick up their purchases between 2:30 pm and 4 pm Saturday.

After 8 years as the MCSC EXPO Chairperson, Stanley Christmas is passing the torch to Ralph Poore.
Everyone appreciates the tremendous job Stan has done as EXPO Chairman. Our annual show has been well run, well publicized, and most of all well received by North Texas collectors.
